HDR Support Officer
Graduate Research has an exciting opportunity available for a HDR Support Officer. The Graduate Research office is responsible for developing and implementing the University of Canberra’s graduate research strategy, developing and implementing an appropriate policy framework, coordinating researcher development opportunities in collaboration with other areas of the university, and coordinating effective and efficient candidature management practices and processes.
The successful applicant will be a member of a small and dynamic team which manages the administration life cycle of the University’s research student population. Some of the duties include: processing applications for admission; enrolling students in thesis and course work units; monitoring progress through candidature; actioning changes to candidature; monitoring fees compliance; processing of the examination of thesis and honorarium payments; course completion; processing research scholarships applications and allocating and managing payment of stipends; Government reporting and policy review for domestic, international and offshore research students.

International Student Advisor
The International Student Support Service (ISSS) supports international students at UC through advice, referral, and management of programs and events that help students feel welcome and supported. The ISSS facilitates access to university services; offers advice and support on a range of academic, administrative, pastoral and welfare matters including specialised support for sponsored and scholarship students such as Australia Awards students.
This position will work closely with other International Student Advisors and staff across the University to maximise the international student experience while they study at UC.
