Customer Experience Advisor

The Customer Experience Advisor role is a specialist role responsible for defining the customer journey and driving the customer experience across chosen customer segments. This role adds value by ensuring and supporting the Portfolio in defining the end to end customer experience across the value chain. A central focus on finding ways to improve customer experience, enhancing relationships and loyalty. The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to identify pain points in the customer journey, drive the delivery of solutions with relevant areas for product / service / process improvement. With your passion for Customer insights and data you will provide consultation to stakeholders on key improvements and business efficiency opportunities. You will draw on your leadership and expertise in employing detailed analytics, problem solving, Agile, Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies. You will scope programs of work, define key problems, identify, implement and monitor solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer strategic and tactical experience solutions
  • Employ detailed analytics, problem solving, lean six sigma and other methodologies to drive out data and insight led plans and strategies
  • Ensure service solutions tailored to the segment embedded
  • Monitor performance of key metrics and develop and lead initiatives to improve the performance
  • Identify and prioritise process improvement opportunities and incorporate customer feedback into future design.
  • Drive improvement through the application of diagnostic techniques to identify sub-optimal processes
  • Work closely with Customer Labs to design and execute customer and market research activities, including exploration of global Customer Experience and advocacy best practice
  • Ensure that messaging and marketing activity is effectively coordinated with the Marketing and Consumer Digital teams to deliver messages
  • Provide expert input into proposition, product design and strategic projects

Skills & Experience

  • Understanding and experience of Customer Experience Design Principles
  • Experience in leveraging Human Centred Design methodology
  • Experience delivering customer centric solutions
  • The ability to connect with and build relationships with customers
  • A natural at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures.
  • Results driven, even under tough circumstances
  • Insurance experience is preferred however we’re keen to hear from you if you have a FMCG, banking or analytics and insights background.


Pay and Short Term Incentives 

IAG’s approach to remuneration is about rewarding and recognising your performance. Your total potential reward is made up of your fixed pay (your base salary and superannuation) and your short term incentive (STI).

  • Your fixed pay recognises your capability and performance in your role. Your fixed pay is reviewed annually at which time your manager may recommend an adjustment.
  • Eligible employees can participate in an STI plan. STIs ensure you are rewarded for your individual and team contribution to the wider success of our business. STIs are the “at risk” component of your total potential reward.
