Cloud Inside Sales Representative
We want enthusiastic inside sales professionals with a penchant for detail and a knack for verbal persuasion. As a key member of the newly created Cloud Inside Sales hub for APJ, you’ll actively follow up sales leads, inbound calls and customer calls developing cloud sales leads within a defined geographical and/or horizontal territory. You will have the opportunity to succeed as a salesperson for a global leader in a growing industry. Informatica is looking for proven telesales experience, inter-personal skills and energy to meet team goals in this exciting regional sales model. This position will be based in Sydney and reports to the Inside Sales Lead/Manager.
You have a lot of energy matched with superb communication skills. You excel in a fast-paced environment, exceeding goals and leading your team to do the same. - Apply your curiosity and knowledge about data integration and related technology to generate interest in Informatica products from sales leads and potential customers.

You’ll be required to sell Informatica’s cloud products and services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory, industry, or accounts and be measured on the closure of those sales. You will generate prospective customers through cold calling and qualify and follow up with sales leads.
Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities and will require application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services May be responsible for large, diverse, complex territories and/or products.
This role is overlay to the field sales force, typically supporting the initiatives of the field sales organization and carrying an individual or team quota that is shared with the field. Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested. You may direct customers to website or other company resources for information and in some accounts, act as sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, and/or products.
You may also be required to work with and maintain relationships with channel account managers to continue those relationships and leverage deals. Minimal business travel or work outside office required.
Functioning knowledge of Cloud software solutions, Data Management, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products is vital to the role.
Cloud Pre Sales Consultant
This is a chance to take your technical experience to a new level and join our new collaborative, enterprise focused APJ Inside Sales hub. You’ll work alongside the Inside Sales Representative to address the technical needs of cloud customers across the Asia Pacific region. In this phone based role, you’ll serve as a technical coach to coworkers, providing advice and guidance throughout the sales cycle. Since the Inside Sales team is responsible for driving and closing new cloud business leads and opportunities, this solution sales consultant will be instrumental to Informatica’s future cloud growth in the region. The position is based in Sydney and reports to the Inside Sales Lead.
Our Ideal Candidate
You’re have 2-3 year’s cloud solution sales experience in a similar role and technically sophisticated with patience and passion to guide customers and stakeholders through all the capabilities of our cloud products and solutions. Whether it’s an initial product evaluation, competitive proof point, or addressing technical pain points, you’re willing to take the time to provide explanations and find solutions where needed. You are strong verbal communicator and an influential and effective solution consultant, you are eager to share your enthusiasm and to develop and sustain an open line of communication with your supervisor and team. If your customers are in other locations, you are comfortable with a shift in communication to assist their enquiries about our cloud products and services.
In addition, you have the following attributes:
- An ability to rapidly understand and translate clients’ business challenges and concerns into a solution oriented discussion.
- Persuasive communication skills for presenting to all customer levels, from CTOs/CIOs, to engineering managers and programmers via phone
- Resourcefulness, creativity and strategic thinking for troubleshooting database and application problems.
- Most importantly, an enthusiasm to impress clients and your team members equally
- Work with a commercial view to assisting a deal to closing stage
Working closely with the Inside Sales team Representative, you’ll manage the technical sales cycle to ensure new business opportunities come to fruition and generate revenue. Connecting the dots between the technical requirements of a project and the business requirements is elemental to the success of this position. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Respond promptly to customer questions with deep, detailed technical explanations of relevant product features and capabilities
- Prepare and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals
- Deliver and/or coordinate differentiated solution demonstrations to prospective customers
- Manage technical validation activities including proof of concepts via phone
- B-Tech / MCA degree or equivalent experience in product applications, ability to understand and explain related technologies, working knowledge of company products, all potential applications and effective communication skills.
- Excellent presentation abilities and composure in front of all levels of technical and business customers or prospects.
